DIY: Season Greetings Holder

During the Christmas season, we have much to do,
therefore small tasks should be easy and convenient.
Mail will soon begin to bring Christmas greetings
from friends and acquaintances.
At least here in Finland will be sent
millions of Christmas cards.
A few years ago solved the problem,
how to bring the card collection for the whole family to see.
Here is this idea that works also in a small space.
In addition, it is quick and easy to build.

You need:
- stiff ribbon, I had Christmas Red velvet ribbon,
golden or silver lurex ribbon looks nice too
- wooden clothespins, you can paint then or or use them in a   natural color like I did
- stapler or a hot glue gun to attach the clothespins

Now every member of the family can explore greetings,
when he has a suitable unhurried moment.

Handmade Christmas Greeting

It is once again the time of the Yuletide chore,
which is also fun but also causes a little stress.
Christmas Greetings brainstorming is fun,
but their processing to tens of cards is stressful.
This Christmas I found a lovely and easy idea
to make Christmas cards.
As a tiny Christmas Gift within the envelope ...
I would like to share it with you.

To do these You will need:
- blank cards
- sharp knife
- gold colored marker
- stiff felt
- star pattern
- scissors
- hole machine
- string or ribbon

Measure the size of the star design to cut right size lines.
Draw lightly on card the lines to cut open, there you place the star.
On the cut tape enter the well wishes.
And behind the card put your name.

Cut the felt stars and and make a hole for the string.
Thread the star in its place.
Finally, put the card in an envelope.

There are many other beautiful
and natural look materials to make the star.
For example, of leather, of thin wood,
of aluminum sheet, or why not many plastic alternatives.
Very nice greeting is to prepare crocheting star or
even snow flake.

Happy and Peaceful Christmas Time.

Diyland Pine Cones ...

When you next time walk in the forest pick your pockets to full cones.
Pine cones are an excellent material for Christmas decoration.
The cones are free of charge, natural beautiful, and bring the scent of forest to the rooms.
Here I have collected a of my favorite ways of decorate using pine cones.
The easiest way is just take a big tray fill it with pine cones and candles.
Put the candles in a safety candle holder, pine cones are very inflammable.

Diyland

My door window

I love print fabrics, t-shirts, jeans ...everything almost.
One of my favorite way to print is use stencils.
And it is very easy to do those stencil by oneself.
I have made my window decorations the monogram
this way and now I creating to do some Christmas motifs.

This is the way it goes:

1.You only need an idea, printer and transparencies (drawing film)
And of course you need the pc and program to create your ideas alive.
Sharp Stanly knife and printing color, witch depends on
what kind of material you are printing on.
This case it is window glass and you need normal water-soluble paint
and white paper or wood glue.
A piece of of foam rubber to dab the color.

2. Print your creation.

3. Cut your print with sharp knife along out lines.

4. Mix together the paint and the glue (half and half I did),
pour a small amount at a time on a plate.

5. Attach the drawing film with masking tape.

6. Dab the color, remember to use very little amount of color
avoid the pleading under the film.

7. Remove carefully the film before the paint is dry.

Have Fun !

Waiting for ..

Hi, I must amid ...
I am already waiting for Christmas.
I think that if I'm honest,
I begin to wait for Christmas as early as September.
When those dark sometimes rainy evenings arrive,
it is lovely to do crafts and burn candles.
Week ago it was snowing at the first time this Autumn.
Snowy country is beautiful and enlightening,
again a new source of inspiration.

Diyland

The arrival of spring is inevitable.
Let us renewed old jeans by "Junya Watanabe-way".
First shorten the jean to half of the lower leg.
Buy fringe ribbon any color you prefer
and sew it in the leg ends.
Jeans may need to destroy a few holes more.
Finally, but not necessarily add  few colorful patches.

Voilá !
